Tara gets to judge

Tara has been seeing what it's like to be on the other side of the catwalk this month having been a VIP judge at a number of Miss Universe Great Britain regional qualifiers. Here she is at Miss Universe Liverpool and Miss Universe Hull.

Tara Models at Asian Wedding Fair

Tara took centre stage at an Asian Wedding Fair organised by Star Events in Leeds. Wearing a host of outfits, including saris worth several thousand pounds, Tara had a fabulous day and the crowd were delighted to see her.

£100k for good causes

Tara made her first official public appearance this weekend since returning from Las Vegas as she joined some of the other most beautiful women in the country in a bid to raise £100k for charity.
Tara along with Miss Wales, Courtenay Hamilton, and Miss England, Jessica Linley, were special guests at the official launch of the Hemraj Goyal Foundation at the Radisson Edwardian Hotel in Heathrow on Saturday evening. At the launch, the foundation raised a minimum of £100,000 for Ekal Vidyalaya - a charitable trust that initiates, supports, and runs informal schools all over rural villages in India.

Tara shines in Vegas

Tara is having a ball at the Miss Universe pageant in Las Vegas this month. She's there representing Great Britain and doing a wonderful job. Her action packed three weeks will culminate with the Miss Universe broadcast on NBC which will see the new Miss Universe crowned infront of an audience of millions. We think she looks great! Sandstorm

Sandstorm Boutique, the swimwear sponsor of Miss Universe GB, who sell beautiful designer swimwear, beachwear and accessories to women who have their own sense of style, provided Tara with a stunning selection of swim wear for the Miss Universe final. Tara visited Sandstorm Boutique's showroom on the outskirts of London where she was photographed in a range of beautiful one and two piece garments.

Tara Visits Cardiff

Capital Chauffeurs
Tara travelled to Cardiff last week to meet with Vibe director, Paula Abbandonato. Tara was collected from Cardiff Central train station by Capital Chauffeurs and taken to the Vibe offices on the outskirts of the city. Capital Chauffeurs operate between Wales, the West of England and the M4 corridor to London and can make sure that you comfortably get to your meetings, conferences, sports events, concerts, flights or theatre shows with time to spare and an opportunity to relax or catch up on some work as you travel.

Dress Stop
Dress-Stop.com, headline sponsor of Miss Universe GB along with Front UK Ltd, offered to provide Tara with a selection of eveningwear dresses to take to the Miss Universe final in August. Dress-Stop is Wales’ largest supplier of eveningwear and promwear and has a lit catwalk in its 500sq ft showroom. The showroom stocks beautiful and elegant evening gowns for all occasions and budgets.

Runway Clothing
Up and coming Welsh designer Ogo Ekweozor who has recently set up her own fashion label called Runway Clothing offered to provide Tara with some cocktail dresses for the Miss Universe final. Ogo is inspired by haute couture designers and believes that you shouldn’t have to be a celebrity to indulge in luxury lifestyle fashion. Runway Clothing aims to bring high fashion to the everyday woman. The clothing is elegant and versatile yet sexy and unique.

Senses in the City
Tara also enjoyed a therapeutic and luxurious pampering experience from Senses in the City. She enjoyed a holistic massage followed by a perfume making experience where she was able to select and mix her own signature perfume.

Tara meets competition sponsors David Douglass of Front and Steven Woodhouse of Malmaison in Birmingham the morning after her win. David is organising a full photo shoot for Tara while Malmaison have kindly offered our new Miss Universe GB a stay at the hotel as part of her prize package on becoming Miss Universe GB 2010.

Tara is tops!

Tara Hoyos-Martinez is crowned Miss Universe Great Britain 2010. Tara is the first British representative at Miss Universe with a latino background. She won our competition after an interview with the judges followed by the following three catwalk rounds: Little Black Dress, Swimwear and Evening Wear.
