December 2012

Rocking it at Miss Universe!

Holly did Great Britain proud when she rocked it at the annual international final of Miss Universe. This year, the event took place in Las Vegas. Holly, along with women from more than 80 other countries, took part is a series of photocalls, catwalk shows, dinners and other special events. She loved it and had the experience of a lifetime!

Holly plays Santa for a day

Christmas came early at the Oncology Ward of the Children’s Hospital for Wales when more than £1,000 worth of new toys were delivered to the children by Miss Universe Great Britain 2012. The presents – which were all allowed to be opened before the big day – were bought with money raised by the finalists of the 2012 Miss Universe Great Britain competition for the Hemraj Goyal Foundation and Strongbones Children's Charitable Trust. Thank you to everyone who helped with the fundraising this year! It really was a pleasure to see the kids' faces.

Supporting the armed forces

Miss Universe GB took time out of her schedule to make a personal appearance at a charity sports night for the Royal Welsh Regiment. The fundraiser was to generate support for Tidworth House – a rehabilitation centre for soldiers returning from conflict. Holly had a wonderful welcome and an amazing time.

Cardiff Fashion Week

Holly is one of the models to launch Cardiff Fashion Week 2012. She spent the day parading the streets of the Welsh capital in a guerrilla PR stunt to mark the first day of Cardiff’s first official fashion week. All that walking in such high heels was hard work – good job for a glass or two of champagne eh?

The best part of the job!

Holly took time out of her schedule to present 13-year-old Ben Ford from South Wales with his new state-of-the-art sportschair. The chair was bought with some of the money collected by Miss Universe GB 2012 finalists for The Hemraj Goyal Foundation this year. HGF passed the money on to Strongbones who help kids all over the UK. Ben’s dream is to be a Paralympian – and thanks to MUGB, he’s one step closer. Go Ben!

Achieving with Mr Trump!

Holly received a ticket to the National Achievers Congress in London this month, courtesy of MUGB’s adopted charity The Hemraj Goyal Foundation. As part of our desire to empower and inspire young women, Holly heard presentations from some incredible individuals including leading life coach Tony Robbins and chair of London 2012, Lord Sebastian Coe. The highlight of the three days was listening to – and being photographed with – Mr Donald Trump himself.

A flying visit to Chicago

Holly was flown to Chicago to meet her wonderfully generous evening gown sponsors for the Miss Universe 2012 final. MacDuggal spent the day with her not only showing her their gorgeous designs but also the fabulous sights of the windy city! She loved Chicago and she loved MacDuggal!

A VIP at the Singapore Grand Prix

Our gorgeous Holly was a special guest at the Singapore Grand Prix this month. A schedule of parties and personal appearances around one of the key dates in the sporting calendar was arranged by race sponsors and organisers for Holly and a number of other Miss Universe representatives. She said it was one of the best experiences of her life! Yes, we believe you MUGB!

Caught red handed looking great!

Holly takes part in a fashion shoot for Red Handed Magazine. Thank you Boux Avenue for the gorgeous lingerie and Vision Hair Design for doing Holly's hair and make-up.

A lifecoach in the making

As a keen physchology student, Holly jumped at the chance of taking part in Harry Singha's Youth and Leadership seminar in Essex. Thanks for the invite Harry and we're looking forward to seeing Holly progress as a youth leadership coach.

Holly visited the London studios of Andy Lesuavage for her official photoshoot as Miss Universe Great Britain - and we have to say, she's looking good! Andy, we think you are brilliant too! Thanks to Vision Hair Design for her hair styling and Claire Evans for her make-up.

At the polo

Holly is a special guest at the Welsh Polo Team's game in Fonmon Castle. She was proud to present the trophy to the winning team captain! Thank you to Vivienne Sharman Lewis - the regional director for Miss Universe in Wales - for her invitation.

An evening at the Langham

Holly was a VIP guest at the British Pakistani Foundation's welcome dinner for the president of Pakistan at the Langham Hotel in London. A very big thank you to the Sunstar Group for their continuing hospitality and generosity.

Holly wins Miss Universe GB 2012

Holly Hale, a first year physchology student wins Miss Universe GB 2012. It's Holly's first ever pageant. Good going Miss Hale - what a way to start! Now Holly will represent Great Britain at Miss Universe later this year.
