I am a very passionate young woman with so much drive and dedication to inspire and make a difference in the world around me. From a very young age I have used every opportunity that has been presented to me influence change. I initially started off pursuing politics at the age of 15 participating in numerous campaigns being an active member of youth parliament. I later went on to work in radio broadcasting where I continued my work in advocacy using the broadcasting and media platform that I had to address ethical and humanitarian issues interviewing leaders of government and non-governmental organisations. I graduated with a degree in international relations and sociology in 2016 and have since continued working to empower especially the younger people. My participation in Miss Universe GB has always been about being a role model. Through my participation in Miss Universe GB I want others to know the simple fact that beauty has to first come from within. I may not have the typical modelling background, but I sure do have the heart, the soul and the voice to take a stand and be the role model that women in this country need to see.

My name is Samantha and I am 24-years-old from a town called Bromley, situated in the beautiful county Kent. From an early age I have always been full of creativity and have aspired to pursue opportunities through my own skills as an artist. My family has always been very supportive of my creativity and encouraged me pursue the opportunity to study fine art at university and my masters in events management. I am now a hospitality team leader in London where I take on additional projects such as holding charity art shows at work. This summer I set myself the challenge of running my first 10K in Paris which is something I always have aspired to accomplish as fitness is important to me as well as trying new things to develop myself. I look forward to creating the memories of this fantastic opportunity with the other contestants. I am happy to have my art business as my sponsor at Miss Universe Great Britain as my entrepreneurial aspirations can grow during this journey. I believe it is important to represent my interests and abilities in this competition to others and for myself. I look forward to bringing my qualities to the stage for the Miss Universe Great Britain finals and sharing the experience with the other contestants.

From being a young girl it's always been a dream of mine to compete in Miss Universe. To have been given the opportunity to do that is an honour and a privilege.
I believe in life it's important to be hardworking, kind and grateful. Miss Universe Great Britain gives me the chance to contribute to amazing causes and help better the lives of others while pursuing my dream. Being a part of something that empowers young women, teaches them to be fearless and reach for their goals is very rewarding to me.
I currently work as an insurance representative and model. I'm fortunate to work for a company that continuously supports my charity work and fundraising. In the future, I hope to pursue my modelling career further and become an ambassador for causes close to my heart; one of which being Dementia UK. I would love to make an impact towards the research of finding a cure for the illness which is so devastating for so many; with irreversible effects.
Being a contestant in Miss Universe Great Britain provides a platform for my voice to be heard towards important issues such as Dementia UK, Strongbones, Sheroes Hangout, as well as many other life changing causes; for this I am truly grateful. I aspire to be the best I can be and will continue tirelessly to make a difference in my life, as well as others.
Throughout my experience I will take pride in projecting the positive impact the competition has on young women and hopefully inspire others to always chase their dreams.
I believe every woman deserves to feel confidently beautiful.

My name is Katherine-Elyse Blake, I am 27 and my dream is to walk the Miss Universe stage, representing my amazing country, Great Britain. I am extremely ambitious, free spirited and happy in nature. I love being around people and learning from all whose paths I cross.
I currently work as a consultant, developing food lines for brands and retailers. It is literally my dream job, not only because I get to eat all day (!) but also because I do what I love.
I am also in the process of launching my own product line; an elite range of nutricosmetics for women, promoting inner health and self-confidence. A reserved percentage of all profits will contribute towards the delivery of nutrients to counties in need.
I absolutely love running and often participate in long distance runs such as the London Marathon and half marathons in order to push myself, train my body, my mind and to raise money and awareness for local and international charities.
I love all that the Miss Universe pageant stands for. Miss Universe Great Britain has taught me to believe in myself no matter what, to push myself, to consistently help others along my journey, that they sky is the limit and that truly anything is possible. I wish to inspire this way of thinking and self-belief in others. I believe that Miss Universe GB provides such an incredible platform for both girls and charitable organisations and it would be such an honour to act as an ambassador and represent my incredible country on the international stage.

Throughout my life it has been an aspiration of mine to become confident in my own skin, to break the mould of the norm and to encourage others to do the same with passion and courage. One of the ways I feel I achieve this is through my work life. By working in the generally assumed ''man's world'' of security, I encourage the notion of thinking twice before labelling a role as a gender class, and by doing this allow the idea of empowerment and confidence to shine through and inspire others to step out of their comfort zone. Creating balance between my working life and home life has always been critical to me. Striving to achieve academically is constantly a top priority for me, along with supporting my friends and family through their lives as much as they have supported me. My goals in life are to become a woman of positive influence, to keep expanding my knowledge of the world’s cultures and issues, and to never give up - if at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

I strongly believe that ‘you have two hands; one to help yourself, the second to help others.’ As a law graduate, I recently returned to university to study for a master’s degree in human rights law and aspire to work for the UN and start my own charity. I work closely with several charities and have made plans to travel to Calais to help refugees who find themselves in an unimaginable situation and plan to travel to Sudan to volunteer with a women’s charity. My studies and meeting international, like-minded students have shown me how privileged we are to live in such a great nation and so it would be an honour to represent Great Britain on the international stage. I would use the crown to raise awareness of the importance of education for girls which I believe is the most vital change we can make in this world.
Being a finalist encourages you to be the best version of yourself and to work hard for your dreams. It is also a place where we women are lucky enough to inspire and support one another. I am hard working, ambitious, loving and family-orientated and hope to inspire young girls around the world to achieve their dreams.

As a professional ballroom dancer, I have been lucky enough to travel the world performing and competing representing the UK. I am now looking forward to having the possibility of doing the same with the opportunity of becoming Miss Universe Great Britain. I aspire to be an advocate for other young women to follow their dreams and inspire them to be the greatest they can be. No matter what adversities they may face. I have many aspirations in life, which I am accomplishing step by step. From being in the running to represent Great Britain at Miss Universe. I have already achieved many things out of my comfort zone, one of them being starting a personal blog which has allowed me to have my own platform for my voice, to open up and share my story. I look forward to pushing myself further and growing throughout this experience.
For me the platform of pageantry is to have fun, meet new people and celebrate femininity. What I especially love about this pageant is that all of the finalists are of all different backgrounds, cultures and religions which is a great representation of Great Britain and how diverse our country is. We all have something different to offer and something different to learn from each other and I look forward to being around like-minded women who will inspire me and who I can also inspire. It may be cliché but really it's so true you can do anything you put your mind to. I'm so excited to be a part of this experience - to be a part of the journey.

>Pageants have been life changing for me, I have been able to meet many inspiring and beautiful women from across the world and hear their stories. Pageants have taught me how to become a strong and confident person, proud of who I am and where I've come from. My family has watched me grow from a shy girl to a woman who isn't afraid of any obstacles that may come my way. I'm the only woman where I work as a sales executive which is something that pushes me to work harder because I'm surrounded by such a strong team. I absolutely love cooking, my passion is so big I studied at a top culinary school although my cooking now is less Michelin star and more comfort food for my incredible family. I'm thankful I am a finalist in Miss Universe Great Britain - it's an organisation that supports and encourages the strength and being an independent woman. I would be honoured to represent my diverse and beautiful home, Great Britain.

I chose to compete in this year’s MUGB as I am passionate about all things feminist and I love to be around women empowering each other towards their goals - which is MUGB in a nutshell. I pride myself on everything I do being for the advancement of women in society. Last year I set up my own production company that focusses on telling female focussed stories by women, for women, about women through the mediums of theatre, TV and film. Last year I decided to take a year out from competing in Miss Universe GB so I could follow the stories of the girls who take part and reveal what the competition is really like from the inside out. This resulted in my first feature documentary 'Not In Vain' - using one of MUGB's key messages to tell the story of how celebrating who you are as a female can help impact communities world over. Through theatre, I also have a one woman show 'Not Yet Suffragette' which highlights the plight of women's rights all over the world. It has received 5* reviews, was nominated for the Broadway Baby Award for best show at the Fringe and has just finished a sell-out UK tour, resulting in it being called up for Broadway in New York.

I am a very driven and motivated woman and have been blessed to have travelled the world and see how others live. I believe in growing constantly as an individual by expanding knowledge, inner beauty, strength and compassion. I strive each day to make a difference, even just to make someone laugh. Currently I am a freelance presenter and love meeting and interviewing people from all over the world, as well as working on events. Every day is completely different from the next, and I love that. I dream of helping others and setting up my own charity and have passed Level 1 British Sign Language to try and give something back no matter how small. I’m very sporty and like to keep physically fit and believe in self-defence, especially as a woman. I train in martial arts, boot camps and stage combat and thrive on a challenge. I believe in having fun, showing those you love that you love them everyday, striving towards a goal and empowering and helping others. It is a true honour to be in the finals of Miss Universe Great Britain 2017.

I am Kimberly Escartin, an achiever, full of aspirations and dreams. I would do everything what it takes to achieve my goals in life. As I venture towards attaining life's sweet success, I get to achieve things I sincerely work for such as; I am able to manage my studies, keep up my good grades while working and do something what I am so passionate about like modelling and joining some pageants. Recently, I organise charity work in the Philippines as part of my advocacy, where I will benevolently share my time, effort and assistance through feeding program and giving of school supplies to the less fortunate children in our community. Furthermore, to be chosen to be one of the Finalists for Miss Universe Great Britain 2017 is also another achievement for me as I am one step closer to achieving my dream to become a Miss Universe one day.
Moreover, I deeply aspire to achieve all my dreams not just for myself but for my family, friends and to the people who inspire me as well. These significant people help me become a strong person I am right now and fight for what I believe is just. Thus, in my own little way I could also help others to fight for their dreams, beliefs and rights. I believe that as a woman we should give aspirations to one another, so we will succeed together and become more empowered woman of this generation.

As a sport Lecturer and working in a male dominated environment for four years I am passionate about the empowerment of women. I want to inspire young people to get more involved in sport which will be so important for our future in terms of promoting a healthy lifestyle. Being a lecturer, it’s important to create an environment where girls can grow in confidence and conquer their fears. In the past pageantry has done this for me and through this experience I have been lucky enough to meet influential people and make friends for life, as well as kick start my modelling career. Through my experiencing travelling around the world, I have come across different cultures, raised awareness and funds for charity as well as witnessing the dangers we face in today’s society. All this has been life-changing moments for me. I continue to work hard and learn more about the effects of these global issues. Being a sport lecturer creating a good work life balance is important to me, as is spending time with my family. Personal goals are something I have always strived towards to better my own personal development. On top of my teaching, I am a qualified sports masseuse and I have represented Great Britain at badminton. Being a captain for the team gave me the opportunity to develop strong leadership skills and bring people together to achieve goals. I enjoy exercise and love the challenge and thrill of competiveness. I embrace adventurous activities such as rock climbing, abseiling, skydiving. I have done some of the longest and highest zip lines in the world. Being a finalist of Miss Universe GB is an honour. It gives women a platform to raise awareness for good causes, pushes you to achieve, encourages you to believe in yourself and help inspire others. I want to encourage girls to go for the amazing opportunities we are privileged to have in the UK. It also gives me the opportunity to promote healthy lifestyle to young people of today’s generation- and for all of this I am extremely grateful. I am excited to meet like-minded women and I know we will have a great time, in my experience and with my family’s endless support “No dream is too big”.

My name is Teresa Goddard, I am 28 years old and I am a finalist in the Miss Universe Great Britain 2017. I have been modelling for about 10 years, part-time. I have walked in London Fashion Week twice, which I thoroughly enjoyed, and have modelled for some local fashion brands including GHD hair. Modelling is definitely my passion, and I thoroughly enjoy the pageants; they have really helped me grow and gain confidence as a young woman, and show how beauty is not just skin deep, but we can really achieve so much more when we put our minds to it.
Eleven years ago, I developed and was diagnosed with Bulimia Nervosa and Severe Depression, which has been a huge hindrance towards work and every aspect of my social life and home life. I lost all confidence and was house bound for a while, not even wanting to get out of bed. I have come so far in the last couple of years, and feel I have made a massive recovery. I am still working on my self-confidence, but being chosen as a finalist has given me such a confidence boost and a real ambition to succeed. I really feel I would be an inspiration to young women and my story can encourage others. Eating disorders are very common in this industry and although it has left me with some physical long term side effects, I am stronger than ever and I want to help others. I aim to eventually work with young girls who suffered like me, to encourage and empower them, and help them work towards a great future.
I am so excited to participate in the finals. This is definitely the biggest and the best opportunity I have ever been given, and I am going to strive to be the very best I can and work hard towards the upcoming competition.

I love travelling and modelling has given me the wonderful opportunity to meet amazing people and make friends from all over the world. I love learning about different cultures and have learnt to speak four languages fluently. Helping people and creating awareness for environmental issues is very important to me and I have worked with several international charities and organizations. I graduated in business studies and am now doing a post-graduate course in law and I would like to work in family law to help women and children whom are most vulnerable to violence. I also manage construction projects and currently work with a charity that builds homes for homeless families. This year has been the toughest year of my life as my mother was diagnosed with cancer. In addition to modelling, studying and working with charities, I was my mother`s carer and managed her business. I have become even more grateful for my life, my family`s life and everything I have been blessed with. I want to create more awareness for cancer and help defeat this terrible and common illness. Representing Great Britain in Miss Universe has always been mine and my mother`s dream for me and my goal is to inspire people to overcome obstacles they face in life and never give up on their dreams.

I am a human rights lawyer, passionate about promoting the rights of women and girls across the world. I pursued my Master of Laws degree at Harvard Law School after graduating from university in Edinburgh with first class honours. I currently work for the United Nations in Africa. I was awarded a John F. Kennedy Memorial Trust Award in 2013-2014, in recognition of my ability to lead real world change and to be an ambassador for Great Britain. I aspire to empower and be a positive role model for young women, both in Great Britain and globally. I am an enthusiastic representative of my country overseas, always seeking to promote Great Britain, and all that we have to offer as a nation. I aspire to leave my mark on this world by maintaining my work in the public interest sphere and becoming a strong female leader who positively impacts the lives of others, in particular young women who aspire to break boundaries and stereotypes. As Miss Universe Great Britain, I would be privileged to inspire young women to be confident, hard-working and to recognise that there are truly no limits to what we can achieve. I'm Samantha, a professional dancer and ballet teacher at The Mandy & Shirley Morris School of Dance I am also the ballet coach to the Welsh Rhythmic and Artistic Gymnastic Team. My ambition in life has always been to help others and to make a difference, in whatever way possible. We live in a wonderful yet terrifying world where life really is a lottery; being a part of this global pageant will help me and the other finalists to make a difference especially with our chosen charity Strongbones Children’s Charitable Trust. This year I raised six thousand pounds for Save The Children by producing three dazzling variety shows at The Riverfront Newport with The Mandy & Shirley Morris School of Dance. I felt a huge sense of achievement watching these young children dancing on stage, knowing that they were raising money to send to children in desperate need. I believe there is no greater feeling than knowing you have made a difference to someone else's life. Hopefully I will have inspired all my students to grow in confidence and to follow me in helping others and making a difference. Originally from a small seaside town on the border of Hampshire and Dorset, I now live in London and work in content marketing and social media. I’m a former head girl and sports captain, and have a BA (Hons) in Journalism. I enjoy blogging, working out, tennis, dancing, fashion and travelling – I’ve worked in Sweden and Italy. A passionate advocate of giving back, I’ve completed numerous challenges for charity, including sleeping homeless, running a half marathon, holding an arts and crafts day for a children’s hospital, and hosting my own charity village fete. I’ve also modelled at London Fashion Week, presented fashion shows and been a cover model for a bridal magazine. I’d love to win Miss Universe GB because as a platform it offers a strong voice in an uncertain world – helping women assert their opinions and choices. I’d utilize the platform to help share stories and spirit focusing on inner beauty and community principles. I blog regularly on making a difference to society, body confidence and female empowerment. In the future I’d like to write children’s books, work in television, and be happy and healthy surrounded by friends and family.

This is my third year making the finals of Miss Universe Great Britain and I am hoping for it to be third time lucky.
I feel very passionately about this pageant and always have done. I recall falling in love with Miss Universe when I was just six years old, watching the finals with my sister and hoping to have a chance one day to walk on that grand stage and represent Great Britain at the most prestigious pageant in the world.
Empowering and supporting fellow women to be what they dream to be and more is something I feel really passionately about and this pageant promotes that mentality perfectly. I believe I do possess the skills that are necessary for a Miss Universe Great Britain candidate as I believe in a hard work ethic, being compassionate, being supportive and being humble.
I am really excited to have been granted with this opportunity once again and I've not stopped working on my dream since the finals of last year.

My biggest passion is to travel the globe. I have been to various countries, and each has its peculiar features. I meet people belonging to various cultures, who inspired me like never before.
I strongly believe that one should always embrace new aspects of thinking, especially when it comes to children. So, the children of the future can gain the self-confidence and inspiration they need to be great leaders one day. I worked as a volunteer for many different charities campaigning for young children in the UK. I learned to be patient through my experiences. My most challenging experience to date was campaigning against illegal migration to raise funds and global awareness about child abuse in east Africa. From there on, I became watchful for the upcoming dangers and continued to study about the different global crisis.
I am the co-founder and creative director of Cloudless Research, which is a start-up company that tackles the main concerns as to why people in Africa turn to illegal migration. We aim to reduce the number of victims channeling the Mediterranean Sea through education and encouraging new legislations in the country of origin. The founders and I aim to raise global awareness and building successful strategies benefiting vulnerable mothers and girls in the world. Fighting against child abuse in east Africa has been a big achievement for me, while helping the vulnerable children; I felt a remarkable change in myself too.
I believe that spending quality time with the people you love, keeps a balance in your life. I love to challenge myself during exercising. I feel very excited while at boxing lessons and carrying on various outdoor activities like running. Being chosen as the finalist of the Miss Universe GB a contest which brings extraordinary women who unite for the greater good of the world. I am thankful and thrilled to be a part of an experience, simply second to none.

Hi, I’m Justine! I am 22-years-old and originally from Northern Ireland. Currently, I live in Liverpool while reading for a BSC (Hons) Degree in Adult Nursing. I am in my third year of study and absolutely love what I do! There is nothing more rewarding than the feeling of helping others. I love travelling and in the past two years I have been extremely fortunate to travel places such as; Thailand, Philippines, Dubai, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and Las Vegas. The experience I treasure most is the opportunity to meet new people from all walks of life and experience different cultures. An organisation which I fundraise for is The Playtrail- a Northern Irish charity which supports young adults with disabilities while promoting inclusion and equality. Last year I participated in the, ‘Camino de Santiago’ walking 90 miles across the Galicia region in Spain to raise vital funds which I found challenging but extremely fulfilling. I feel honoured to have been chosen as a MUGB 2017 finalist and want to use the platform to empower and inspire young woman (& men) to reach for their goals. It would be a dream come true to represent GB at the 66th Miss Universe as I would love to use the platform to be a role model for young women and promote the MUGB ethos of ‘Not in Vain’ and ‘Confidently Beautiful.’

After participating in pageants for the past six years, I can finally say I am one step closer to achieving my dream which is to represent my country in the prestigious Miss Universe pageant by proudly being a finalist in Miss Universe GB. I have learnt a lot while competing in pageants not only qualities about myself but about many things in the world. I have gone from a timid young girl to a confident, hard-working and determined young woman who has travelled the world to countries such as USA, Sri Lanka and also across Europe. I have met lots of amazing people and had the chance to learn about different cultures and ways of life, but most of all I have enjoyed every moment. If I am to be lucky enough to be crowned Miss Universe GB I would use this platform to inspire, raise awareness and be a good role model not only people in my country but around the world. I would like to spread the message to women of all ages that “The empowered woman is powerful beyond measure and beautiful beyond description” I am a strong believer in supporting one another as empowerment is key.

As a full-time model and actress to have been given this wonderful opportunity is an incredible blessing. Having left sixth form last year with A Levels in English literature, media and theatre studies I have embarked on my ambition of working successfully in a highly competitive industry where to succeed, drive, focus and determination is needed constantly. I learnt from a young age that with hard work, perseverance, and a positive happy outlook any goal is achievable and that any girl should believe that with the right attitude, belief and self-respect they too can succeed. It is so important especially these days that young girls have realistic role models whom inspire them whatever their backgrounds or start in life and to love and believe in themselves passionately. This year alone I have walked for two designers at LFW2017 resulting in an online Vogue feature and worked in editorial, beauty, ecommerce, bridal and media campaigns including mainstream TV. Acting work has included several short British films and most recently on our screens in a historical documentary on Ch5. I love sport and enjoy challenges while keeping fit and healthy. I enjoy being part of a team and have been fortunate to meet lots of different people from diverse backgrounds who have both inspired and motivated me to succeed. I want to be an inspiring role model for young women by building on the values that Miss Universe stands for and using this as a platform to raise awareness for great causes such as Strongbones and Sheroes charities. This is my first pageant so an amazing honour to be selected and I am looking forward to meeting all the other wonderful talented women at this year’s final. Together I am sure we will all have incredible experiences that we will cherish long into our careers but more importantly it will enable us to encourage and further empower young women in the UK and across the globe. Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey so far, I am excited and beyond grateful to have this opportunity to possibly go forward to represent Great Britain at Miss Universe.

I am extremely grateful to be a finalist for Miss Universe Great Britain 2017. Platforms like this have given me the opportunity to reinvent myself: commit to completing a challenge for charity that once felt impossible, work with creative and inspirational people, maintain good health and fitness as well as working hard at my career with the aim of putting this altogether to be a strong representative for the UK!
I am half Jamaican, quarter Irish and quarter English. Combining my interest in history with my own heritage has played an important part in my own personal development. I am very proud to be British and do not take for granted the opportunities available to me. This is why despite leaving school with just two GCSE’s above C grade, I become the first in my family to graduate in an academic subject from university. I was the first woman of Afro-Caribbean heritage to win the Miss Sussex title in Miss England heats 2014 and I have also worked hard to obtain my position as marketing manager in legal services. Alongside my job, I am currently studying towards my second degree in professional marketing. In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family, travel whenever possible and be creative - working on campaigns or projects important to me, writing poetry and modeling.
I aim to use this experience to better myself; by building on my strengths, overcome weaknesses and inspire other women by promoting the confidence, speech, strength and positive movement of femininity internationally.

I am an extremely driven, ambitious, hardworking and grounded 24-year-old from Wales. I am always looking for the next challenge that will help me to grow and to become the woman I want to be, which is why I decided to apply to compete in the Miss Universe GB competition. I graduated from the University of Gloucestershire achieving a 2:1 and have landed my dream job as an events manager. These accomplishments have given me a true understanding that you can achieve ANYTHING if you’re willing to work 100% for it!
Exercise and staying in good shape is something that has become extremely important to me in the recent years and I am very proud of the progress I have made. I think that exercising and a healthy diet shows discipline, consistency and hard work and I believe that it puts you in a great mind-set to push yourself and achieve yours goals.
Being a finalist in Miss Universe GB is a great honour and something which I am so excited about, not only because it will help me to grow as a woman, but also because it gives me a platform to raise awareness of crucial causes and help to inspire others to go after their ambitions too!

My greatest challenge and accomplishment, which I’ve found people everywhere face, is being myself in a world that is constantly trying to change who I am and who I aspire to be. Although this may be a daily challenge - it is also a daily accomplishment.
Balancing my architecture studies and managing the family business while supporting and taking care of my family is one of the achievements closest to my heart.
I hope to use my qualification in architecture to develop safe homes and eco-friendly living spaces for underprivileged families in Britain and around the world.
Being of African origin and visiting frequently, the vast difference in health care standards drives me to want use this opportunity as a platform to elevate the healthcare standards, more specifically draw awareness to the numerous and often overlooked bone diseases in children.
Overall, I would like to use this opportunity to motivate people everywhere to believe in themselves and never feel less than what they are or would like to achieve.

“Be a Fountain, not a drain” is my life mantra. I am often referred to as the hippy in heels as I’m a model by day and energy healer by night. I am currently working towards a degree in business although I like to keep my creative juices flowing by writing poetry and lyrics. I am passionate about life and love to go on adventures and try new things at the moment I have been filming a few short films and learning to play the guitar. I love the Miss Universe pageant as it promotes feminism and supports the logic that a woman can be whoever and whatever she chooses to be and have her sisters supporting her all the way. A future goal of mine is to run my own charity that empowers women who have encountered domestic violence. Last year I won an entrepreneurial award from 02 for a business idea I had to use technology to engage communities which I am very proud of and hope to achieve more in my years to come.

I am extremely honoured to be competing within Miss Universe GB. When I was a little girl, I found my passion in singing and helping others. I am a graduate with a performing arts degree and a professional singer/songwriter. I have written songs for film and TV and I have performed in shows as a headliner in many international music festivals. I also work as a vocal coach and strive to inspire the young children and adults I teach to be confident and follow their dreams.
I am a strong supporter of the charity work that is involved within the Miss Universe pageant and believe that it is a platform which allows women to inspire others to really make a positive difference. Currently, I am working alongside Amnesty International as an ambassador to combat hate crime. If I was fortunate to be chosen to represent our country I would endeavour to continue with my work and reach out to many other organisations worldwide to help raise awareness for global issues such as hate crime, violence against women and human trafficking. Our country has given me many wonderful opportunities which have made me who I am today and in return I hope I can make our country proud.

Life is about living, taking chances and progressing as an individual. Over the years I have developed from a young aspiring musical theatre student into a hardworking woman striving to achieve great with the want to inspire others around me. Now I am a 21 year old professional singer, dancer and actress working in London. I can thank the industry I am in as it has made me a strong, independent female. Yes I have had plenty of knock backs throughout my career but I have always picked myself up because we must always strive for better and never give up.
I have been lucky enough to sing while travelling the world, seen some incredible places and met some talented, inspiring people along the way that I can truly say I have learnt so much from. I love fitness; setting a goal and hitting it is a great way for me to feel empowered and positive on a daily basis. My passions in life and work are very important to me, as are my home life and loved ones who I have to thank for many great opportunities in my life which has allowed me to follow my dreams.
It is a privilege to be involved in this year’s Miss Universe GB and with this title I want to inspire other young woman to chase their dreams so they can grow and be strong, empowered, confident individuals. This is also an incredible platform which I am honoured to be a part of to be involved in raising money and awareness for two incredible charities being Strongbones and Sheroes Hangout in India. I can't wait to work hard for a good cause, carry on growing myself and learning from others and most importantly inspire others to succeed and be beautiful souls inside and out.

A professional model and childcare specialist working with babies under one, I enjoy a good challenge. I found my passion for pageantry and what it entails over the last couple of years and I love the platform it has given me to help encourage others to do good. A keen charity giver, my favourite fundraiser to date was a sky dive over Australia's east coast for Rape Crisis and I'm now looking forward to my next fundraiser for Strongbones where I'm selling donated books about inspirational and empowering woman. I am a firm believer in the message that as woman if we put our minds to it we can do anything. I'm really excited to be a part of the Miss Universe organisation again; it changed me in many ways the first time round and I can't wait to compete as a stronger and better version of myself while making friends with like-minded ladies.

Being selected as a Miss Universe Great Britain finalist and having the honour to begin this journey to potentially represent my country is unbelievable and an opportunity that I am so thankful and grateful for. It would also be a title I would wear with pride for the rest of my life.
I am excited to meet other beautiful, confident, intelligent and influential women while raising funds for fantastic causes throughout this once in a lifetime experience. I hope we will build friendships for life.
An opportunity such as this doesn't come around often and I have put my heart and soul into this journey in order to inspire women by having a positive attitude.
I have grown so much as a person and learnt so much about myself in such a short space of time by pushing myself to limits I never knew I could reach.
I have a degree in sociology and education and graduated in 2015. It was a challenge but I accomplished it and consider it one of my greatest achievements to date. Since then I have always been determined to achieve any goal I set myself.
I enjoy socialising with family and friends who have been my backbone and have supported me endlessly.
It would mean absolutely everything to me to win the title of Miss Universe Great Britain 2017 because I really do want to lead by example to show that no matter what walk of life you come from, being yourself, having confidence and determination and self-belief will lead you to do great things, experience life changing opportunities and achieve any goal you set yourself.
"Don't let the world change your smile, let your smile change the world."

I feel honoured that I have been selected as one of the finalists for Miss Great Britain and I am excited to meet all of the incredible women who I will be gracing the stage with. I am very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to work with such amazing charities throughout my time competing in pageants over the past two years. I am now looking forward to raising money for both the Strongbones Children’s Charitable Trust and Sheroes Hangout in India. Before university, I worked closely with schools for the disabled and saw how teaching sports could bring so much joy to both myself and the children. I am within my final few weeks at Northumbria University studying journalism and upon completing my degree I hope to pursue my passion, which is presenting. I currently model part time and I am also represented in Milan, which I hope to travel to when I have finished my studies. Winning Miss Great Britain would be an honour and I would use the title to empower other women and help show that we can all be strong and independent individuals. Great Britain has never brought home the crown, however I will endeavor to do all I can to be the first to win the title.

It has always been a dream of mine to walk the prestigious stage of Miss Universe and I am extremely grateful and honoured to be a MUGB finalist. One of the key aspects of MUGB is the empowerment of women and being confident in your own skin. I know that I have a lot to offer and can relate to a lot of women out there to help inspire them to be confidentially beautiful and encourage them to go after their ambitions in life.
I am 25 years old; I work full time as a white collar recruitment consultant in the construction industry specialising in the decent homes and refurbishment Sector. So occasionally I switch my ankle strap heels for site boots. I come from a small town outside of London in Hertfordshire. I have an awesome family who I love dearly, particularly my stubborn Bassett Hound, Nelson. In my spare time I enjoy keeping fit in the gym, mountain climbing and boxing. I know that I have the qualities and skills it takes to become the next Miss Universe GB. If I am lucky enough to win I would like use the title to help raise awareness of domestic violence by going to schools speaking to children about what is right and wrong, as this is something very close to my heart. It would be an honour to represent my country at the International final, to get the chance to travel, meet friends all across the world and help great causes along the way.

This is my first pageant and I am so excited to have been given this incredible opportunity. As a language enthusiast, I have first-hand experience in understanding European and Latin American cultures and last year I was able to aid a Venezuelan charity for abandoned dogs; a project I could not have been a part of without my Spanish fluency.
I am also a modern foreign languages teacher at an all-girls school where I am able to deliver my insights and love of languages to young women, hopefully teaching them the benefits of multiculturalism. Introducing and teaching languages is hugely important in a world that seeks to divide itself and it has been a dream lived-out having had the opportunity to empower my students.
Leading classes of young ladies has given me the confidence to explore leadership outside the school’s boundaries. In the last year, and in the midst of huge change, I felt it a poignant time to leave the comfort and security of the classroom in order to reach as many young women as possible. This is the platform to do just that and much more.
I am Miss Wilkes; it would be my dream to become Miss Universe.
